RCHS becomes a “Cool School”

Rhea County and Rhea County High School have been in the news for some unusual things, from billboard wars, to chicken litter. Recently, RCHS has been featured in the news for something “cool.” Chattanooga’s Channel 3 sorts through emails to pick a school to feature every Monday on a live broadcast from 5 am to 7 am, and has made RCHS the latest additon to its list of “cool schools.”

On Wednesday, February 25, Channel 3′s David Karnes stopped by RCHS to get footage of all the things that make the school stand out. The footage was used within the live broadcast at RCHS’s gym on March 2. Karnes got a few words from various students from different organizations at RCHS, along with some of the teachers. The band, JROTC, yearbook staff, cheerleaders, Leadership class, and students were also present during the broadcast to show their spirit for RCHS.
