Two RCHS se­niors, Josh Davis and Kevin Re­vis, have been named as Ten­nessee Ti­tan Mr. Foot­ball fi­nal­ists. “I think it is a great honor for both Josh and Kevin,” said Coach Fitzger­ald, “They both worked ex­tremely hard dur­ing their high school ca­reers and this is a re­ward for all of the hard work they have done.”

Play­ers who were nom­i­nated were se­lected to be fi­nal­ists by a com­mit­tee of statewide sports writ­ers. The play­ers were picked based on per­for­mance in the 2008 reg­u­lar sea­son; aca­d­e­mics and char­ac­ter were also taken into con­sid­er­a­tion. This is the first time in RCHS his­tory that two play­ers have been named fi­nal­ists in the same year.

Josh Davis, along with two other play­ers in the state, is one of the Kicker of the Year fi­nal­ists. This honor will be awarded to one kicker in the state. Kevin Re­vis, se­nior of­fen­sive line­man, is among three fi­nal­ists in the 4A Line­man cat­e­gory. The awards will be pre­sented to the top four­teen backs and linemen.

The Ten­nessee Ti­tans Mr. Foot­ball Awards will be pre­sented De­cem­ber 1, 2008, at the Em­bassy Suites Ho­tel and Con­fer­ence Cen­ter in Murfreesboro.
