The Eagle's Nest

This past Mon­day, Kelly Lane par­tic­i­pated in the Re­gion 3-​​AAA tour­na­ment in Day­ton, Ten­nessee and be­came the first Ea­gle in his­tory to con­tinue to state in sin­gles. In his first match of the day, Lane won 6–4, 6–1 to Jarvis Ap­ple­berry from Red Bank and moved on to the fi­nal. With fam­ily, friends, and team­mates cheer­ing him on, Lane de­feated Cleve­land Raider Tyler Wick­man in a nail-​​biting 6–4, 7–6 (7−1) win. The TSSAA state tourn­ment is sched­uled for May 18–21 in Murfrees­borro, Ten­nesse at Mid­dle Ten­nessee State University.
