Swine Flu vaccines in Rhea County Schools
Fri Dec 4, 2009—
For more information about the Swine Flu, see:
Due to the sickness that took place last fall, Rhea County Schools decided to vaccinate their students this winter. The absent levels have greatly decreased and before another wave of the Swine Flu hits Rhea County, the students will be vaccinated. Students received a permission slip for their parents to fill out on Tuesday which were due on Thursday. If a child’s parent does not wish for their child to receive the vaccination, the child will not. The schools of Rhea County are merely offering an opportunity. The vaccination the students will receive is the ‘Flu Mist’ nasal spray. Vaccinations will take place next Monday and Tuesday.
Officials will vaccinate children in Rhea Central Elementary and Rhea County High School on Monday, December 7. Children in Spring City Elementary, Spring City Middle, Frazier Elementary, and Graysville Elementary schools on Tuesday, December 8.
